Chen Tai Chi Chuan is the original form of Tai Chi and a complete system. It is applied as a health system and also for self-defense. It is complete with wrestling applications, mid and long range striking applications.
Our teaching is based on the essence of understanding the Chen family system as derived from famed Grand Master Chen Zhou Kui through his disciple Grand Master Gou Kong Jie.
The classes we offer are divided into three stages. This usually begins with a set of:
i.) Warm up exercises to free up the joints and promote blood circulation.
ii.) Silk reeling exercises which are a set of spiral movement exercises that form the foundation for Tai Chi practice, especially the Chen Style.
iii.) Lastly, the Taiji (Taichi) form.
